Culture · Galata, Beyoğlu

4.7Editorial Rating

Known for the bust of Minerva (Athena), helmeted goddess of wisdom, above its entrance, the building was erected in 1913 for the Deutsche Orientbank. It is the single example of Vienna Secession architecture on Bankalar Avenue; the Kasa Galeri on its ground floor can be visited for contemporary exhibitions.
