Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use Geziro, operated by [İŞLETME ADI DOLDURULACAK], and what rights you have over that data.

What data we process

• Account data: Your email address and display name when you sign in. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, this comes from that provider; we never store your password.
• Your reviews and ratings: The review text, rating and photos you submit for a place. Once approved these are published publicly alongside your display name.
• Newsletter sign-up: If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, the sign-up date and a record of your explicit consent. The address is used only to send the newsletter and nothing else. You can leave at any time via the link in every email or by writing to us; your address is then removed from the list.
• Your location: When you use "What's near me?", your browser asks for permission to share your location. It is used only on your device to find places around you; it is never sent to our servers or stored.
• Essential cookies: Cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. The site cannot function without them, so they do not require consent.
• Anonymous usage counts: Opening place and route pages and tapping directions, call, website and booking links are counted without personal data: only which page, which action, which campaign link and the date. No IP address, identity or cookie is stored.
• Analytics cookies: Loaded only with your explicit consent. Measures which pages are visited using an anonymised IP. If you decline, they are never loaded.
• Ad measurement (Meta): Only if you separately consent to marketing cookies: the page you open and the action you take, browser information, your IP address and Meta cookies are sent to Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland) to measure our ads. We do not store your IP address. On newsletter sign-up your email goes only as an irreversible hash (SHA-256). Details are in the Cookie Policy; withdraw consent any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. The providers we rely on to run the site are: Supabase for database and file storage, Vercel for hosting, and — only if you consented — Google Analytics for measurement and Meta for ad measurement. These providers process your data solely to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account data is deleted; published reviews may remain in anonymised form, detached from your name, if you prefer.

Your rights

Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) you have the right to access your data, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and request a copy of your data. If you are in the EU, the equivalent GDPR rights apply.
